On Monday, 22.12.2025, National Mathematics Day was celebrated at Mother Teresa College of Education to commemorate the birth anniversary of the great mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan.
The programme was conducted with the best wishes of the Founder of Mother Teresa Educational Institutions, Dr. R. Chinnathambi, and the Secretary, Mr. R. C. Udayakumar. The college professors Ms. P. Rajeswari, Dr. S. T. Arunadevi, and Mr. C. Karuppaiah extended their greetings.
The Principal, Dr. S. Chithra, delivered the presidential address and shared valuable insights with the students. First-year students spoke about the life history of the mathematical genius Ramanujan and presented poems related to him. Various competitions were conducted for the students, and prizes were distributed to the winners..
“Spreading Smiles, Strengthening Minds — Mental Health Awareness Programme 2025”
Mother Teresa College of Education & Physical Education organized a “Mental Health Awareness Programme” on 30.10.2025 to promote emotional wellbeing and spread awareness about the importance of mental health among students and faculty members.
The session began with a welcome address by Dr. J. Suganthi, Principal, followed by an enlightening talk on “Understanding Mental Health and Self-Care” by Dr. S. Sarath Kumar, MD (Psy), District Psychiatrist - Programme Officer, Government Hospital, Pudukkottai.
During the programme, the speaker highlighted the significance of recognizing stress, anxiety, and emotional struggles, emphasizing communication, mindfulness, and seeking professional support. Students actively participated through interactive discussions, sharing experiences, and performing role plays that encouraged empathy and awareness.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. S. Chitra, Principal, Mother Teresa College of Education, appreciating the efforts of everyone involved. The initiative fostered a compassionate and supportive environment on campus, reminding everyone that “Mental health matters every day.”
